MJ & The Progression are Adelaide’s premiere ‘pop-jazz’ and ‘retro-refit’ ensemble bringing audiences fantastic arrangements of popular songs transformed into swing and contemporary jazz styles and jazz classics into modern musical styles. The band are regulars at the Adelaide Fringe and the Umbrella Festival as well as performing at the Cabaret Fringe Festival and at corporate events, weddings, birthdays and Great Gatsby themed parties. With a three-piece brass section of Andrew Vince, David Fletcher and Steve Turner; and a solid rhythm section of Stephen Stone, David Bentley and Tom Stehlik who have been playing together for over 30 years. The band is led by the strong and sultry vocals of Mary-Jane (MJ) Hendry.
