A unique celebration of popular culture’s obsession with electric guitar, Guitarchestra is the latest in a series of large-scale, community-based works by composer Matthew Timmis. Matthew’s other projects have included a rescoring of the classic silent film Nosferatu, along with Car-cophony, a performance piece for 12 cars and their stereos which appeared at Sydney Festival 2013 for its Parramatta Opening Party.
